EQO: European Quality Observatory
Author: Riina Vuorikari

The aim of the project is to build up a European-wide observatory for quality in ICT-based training, learning and education in Europe. The observatory collects and stores quality approaches in e-learning, as well as information about diversity of quality approaches in the European educational community to promote the idea of diversity of quality approaches.

The observatory aims to promote and enhance the transfer into good practices as well as to encourage transparency of quality in ICT-based training, learning and education.

The European Quality Observatory project aims to establish a comprehensive European quality community of e-learning producers, researchers, journalists and decision makers – both in industry and policy – all over Europe. This also was reflected in the consortium of the project.

The project has ended in March 2005. The continuation of the project is carried out in the European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning. More information in available at http://www.qualityfoundation.org/
