New eTwinning Handbook 2007
Author: EUN News
Following the success of last year’s first edition, a new eTwinning book was recently published. The new ‘Learning with eTwinning: A Handbook for Teachers’ is now available in print and online.
The aim of this book is to give teachers comprehensive information on what it means to be involved in an eTwinning project and resource to get started in an eTwinning project as well as to find out about some of Europe’s top projects from the 2005-2006 school year.
The Handbook offers something for everyone. For newcomers to eTwinning, the Handbook provides a good introduction to the Action and how schools, teachers and students can benefit from being involved. Following this, in depth guidance on how to get started in a project is provided by experienced eTwinning teachers who have been involved in various projects and have a good sense of the entire workflow. If looking for ideas and inspiration, the Handbook also offers a wide range of project kits prepared by eTwinning pedagogical advisors which can be followed and adapted as partnerships wish.
Finally, the biggest section of the Handbook is dedicated to successful eTwinning projects. From a selection of some of the top projects of 2005-2006, project descriptions and teacher interviews paint a true picture of what teachers and students experience throughout their project work, from looking for a partner school, to running the project, tacking obstacles and finalising outcomes.
The Handbook is available in 20 languages in both print and electronic versions.
