Development Youth Prize 2007 deadline extended to 31 March 2008 Author: EUN News
DYP 2007 has a special focus on sustainable development in Africa. Interested pupils between the age of 16 to 18 can still take part in the competition. The deadline has been extended to 31 March 2008.
Students from all 27 EU member states are invited to submit their artworks on three themes: 'climate change', 'water and energy' and 'sustainable tourism'. Apart from a two-day prize-giving event winning students and their teachers will be invited to accompany the European Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid, Louis Michel, to an African country. In April 2007 the winners of last year's edition went for a five-day trip to Rwanda.
