European Schoolnet Internship
European Schoolnet (www.europeanschoolnet.org) is a unique not-for-profit consortium of 28 ministries of education in Europe created in 1997. European Schoolnet provides major European education portals for teaching, learning and collaboration and leads the way in bringing about change in schools through the use of new technology.
We are currently looking for an intern to support our work in developing science education projects in a European basis, and to be responsible for:
- Drafting and editing texts related to science education and science in general
- Moderating science education web services
- Publishing of scientific texts on a variety of websites
- Organising online discussion events with scientific experts and schools
- General project support for science education projects
- Contributing to the development of new science education approaches
This is an excellent opportunity to develop science outreach skills in a European, international and multilingual environment. The intern should have the following profile:
- Studying for a Masters or early Doctoral studies in the field of science, science communication or science education. Candidates who have recently completed a Masters are also accepted
- Have a proven interest in science in society issues, and communicating to non-specialist groups
- Speak and write fluent English in a lively style
- Knowledge of at least one other European language apart from English
- Flexible and able to quickly adaptable to change
The internship should last at least 3 months, starting as soon as possible. European Schoolnet is based in Brussels, Belgium. A small stipend is provided to cover basic living costs and travel.
